We make it a top priority to sit down with our clients to completely map out the project that we are being retained to work on to the smallest detail. If needed, we will refer you to a professional designer, or work with your designer if you already have one. Once we have your vision as to what you want done clearly understood, we will provide you a detailed quote. Upon your acceptance of this quote, we reduce the entire agreement to writing including when progress inspections will be done, and progress payments required. All of these documents will be posted to your personal and confidential account which is accessible only to you and us from our web-page via your unique client number and password. Of course changes to the original plans are quite common. In addition to the original contract, any change requests will be fully quoted, reduced to writing with your signature showing your acceptance of the same, and posted to your client account so you do not have any nasty surprises when the job is complete. Transparency is the hallmark of professionalism, and we believe this process separates us from the competition.
We use only the best craftsman on all of our projects. These people have years of experience in all areas of the construction industry. We also only use licensed trades, and require anyone who works on any of our projects to stand behind their work by providing an unconditional warranty to come back to correct any deficiencies in their work until we, and of course you, are totally satisfied.
At the time of signing of an agreement with you, we will set out a time-line for this work to be completed. We believe that a job well done is not only a job of good quality, but a job that is done within the reasonable time expectations of our clients. Too many times we hear from our clients how the last contractor they had used talked a mean story, but took three times as long to complete the job as was promised, or failed to compete the work at all.

In 2013 I acted on behalf of a mortgage lender that was forced to take possession of a half-completed townhouse project located at 96 Beaumont Drive, Bracebridge, Ontario. This was a $350,000 contract that required high quality finishing work as these units were being marketed as luxury, waterfront townhomes. Andrew Lenathen was granted the contract, and completed the project on-time and on budget. He also dealt with all requests to deal with issues raised after completion in a timely fashion. I was totally satisfied with Andrew and the work he did for my client.
ALTAR Construction Inc. is the combined initiative of two experienced construction professionals bringing complimentary skills and background to ALTAR. This combination of skills is what we believe distinguishes us from our competition.
Our President is Mike Woods. Mr. Woods brings to the table more than 25 years experience in the “back office“ of construction, including administrative, legal and finance functions. He has extensive experience in dealing with all of these issues, including contract preparation and administration, banking and finance, and government compliance issues. This background gives him a unique perspective on the construction business.
